John P. Fineran
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Fineran started using computers before he was a teenager, growing up in Maryland. His love of technology continued throughout his life. He was always tinkering with electronics, toys, and thinking about how to make things less complicated and work faster. This, of course, led him to a career in information technology (IT).
Mr. Fineran has been in the technology industry for more than 25 years. His tech career began with a business Internet Service Provider (ISP) in Silver Spring, Maryland. As the Executive Vice President of Operations & Sales, Mr. Fineran oversaw the construction of a state-of-the-art, tier two data center and designed service packages for connectivity, hosting, and security.
Fast forward 10 years, after helping hundreds of organizations with their telecommunication needs, Mr. Fineran realized there was a better way. Mr. Fineran started FinTel Communications in Maryland to improve the experience business owners had with technology firms. FinTel Communications provides website design and hosting services that solve immediate technology needs of corporations and non-profits. FinTel Communications has provided services to clients throughout the United States, from startups to Fortune 500 companies like Sprint, New York Life, and others like AlphaWave Networks, The Chief Storyteller, Woodmoor Cleaners, R3 IT, Sydantech, University of Maryland Softball Team, Pinnacle Performance and Training Consulting, University of Maryland Fastbreakers, ANC Terps, Covenant House of Washington, and many others.
Active in the local Maryland community, Mr. Fineran believes strongly that volunteer work is an important part of one’s personal and professional life. Volunteering is a strong opportunity to meet personal and professional like-minded people that will expand your network of business contacts. John Fineran has been a board member for The First Tee Montgomery County and a member of the Board of Governors of the Tower Club (Club Corp) in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Mr. Fineran is an active alum of the University of Maryland and served as the President of the Alumni Association Network for Montgomery County, Maryland for 20 years.
Mr. Fineran currently is a Board of Director for the Terrapin Club Scholarship Fund, raising scholarships for the student athletes at the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland.
Additionally, Mr. Fineran currently serves on the Fastbreakers Board of Directors for the University of Maryland (UMD) men’s basketball team, is a member of the Rebounders, a fundraising organization for the University of Maryland women’s basketball team and on the Board of Directors for the Home Run Club, a fundraising group for the University of Maryland baseball team.
Kelsey Hrebenach

Kelsey Hrebenach attended the University of Maryland and graduated in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. Ms. Hrebenach was a four-year varsity athlete as a member of the University of Maryland’s NCAA volleyball team.
She began working as an intern with the University of Maryland’s Marketing and Communications Department in the athletics department, where she collaborated with writers, designers, photographers, videographers, and marketing specialists. She participated in the development and rebranding of the department’s high school scholarship programs and assisted in planning and development for the quarterly publication, TERP Magazine.
During her time on the volleyball team Kelsey worked as an instructor at coaches’ clinics and camps. In this role she not only helped train players of all ages but also served as a mentor and role model to potential future college student-athletes by explaining how to balance the dual demands of being a student and an athlete.
Ms. Hrebenach was an elected member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Executive Board. As a member of SAAC, Kelsey took part in event planning and athletic event promotions. She assisted other student-athletes by interpreting and explaining NCAA rules and regulations governing their athletic, academic, and extracurricular activities.
She also managed all the Committee’s social media accounts and was directly involved in planning and coordinating the second annual SAAC Kickball Tournament, a collaborative effort with the College Park Fire and Police Departments.
After graduating from Maryland Kelsey joined the development team in the athletic department at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland helping to increase Blue & Gold Membership, raising over $80,000 in membership donations and over $48,000 in ticket sales. As part of her duties, she also facilitated mailings of membership information for current and potential donors, informed members of ticket and seat allocation for neutral and home site football games and assisted the Fund for Athletic Excellence by helping coordinate the Head Coaches dinner and Annual Golf Classic.
When she’s not working, Kelsey enjoys spending time with her friends and family and learning cooking tips while watching the Food Network Channel.
