John P. Fineran – President & CEO
Mr. Fineran began his career with The Union Labor Life Insurance Company (ULLICO) of Washington, DC. His work at ULLICO encompassed 8 years of management and sales experience with labor unions in the departments of accounting, sales and marketing, both in their DC headquarters and in Detroit, Michigan.
After leaving ULLICO, Mr. Fineran became the 3rd employee of a now $25 M annual revenue, business ISP. Mr. Fineran’s 10 years experience with this company gave him the entrepreneurial desire and experience that has guided him to his current position. Building the sales department, data center and security operations from the ground up for the ISP were just a few of his key responsibilities as he rose to the position of Executive Vice President.
Mr. Fineran volunteers as Co-Chair with Come Back to Bethesda, a fundraiser for The Children’s Inn at NIH, the President of the University of Maryland, Alumni Association, Montgomery County Club and the Terrapin Club in Montgomery County, Maryland. Mr. Fineran also holds a position of Board of Director for Committee for Montgomery. Additionally, Mr. Fineran sits on the Board of Directors for The First Tee, Montgomery County, Maryland.
Mr. Fineran holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Business from the University of Maryland.
Gail H. Sherman – Senior Vice President, Strategic Development
Prior to this position, Ms. Sherman was Vice President, Education for the Parenteral Drug Association, a non-profit, member based organization. In this role, Ms. Sherman managed a scientific and regulatory education program with an annual revenue of $3M, including training programs in the PDA Training and Research Institute facility in Baltimore and later Bethesda, MD, programs at locations globally including Europe and Asia, and in-company for pharmaceutical companies in the US and Europe. This required selling the PDA TRI product through development of marketing pieces and web site advertising, as well as negotiating fees and content for in company training. Additionally, she managed the construction build out of a $1M laboratory training facility in Bethesda.
Gail joined the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research in 1991 and retired from the Center in 2004 as the Director, Division of Manufacturing Assistance and Training in OCTMA. She had 33 years of government service in the Denver Regional Office, the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health and the National Center for Health Statistics in the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Gail is a member of the Drug Information Association, VP of the University of Maryland, Alumni Association, Montgomery County Club and the FDA Alumni Association Board of Directors. She is a guest lecturer at the University of Tennessee Aseptic Processing Training Program and often an invited speaker at industry conferences.
Ms. Sherman holds a degree from the University of Maryland in Liberal Arts.
Thomas P. Ferri – Vice President, Sales & Marketing
Mr. Ferri launched his entrepreneurial career with Modern Concepts, a grass roots online advertising community of small and local businesses that wanted to reach new digital markets in 1998. In 2000, Mr. Ferri moved into Project Management with VERIO /digitalNATION, working in the Key Accounts and Reseller Program for dedicated and managed hosting, and streamlining reporting and management of the Channel Sales Group. After three years, a new initiative began to manage larger internal clients, and he took the opportunity to be among the first to work in Major Account Management. This new role offered great experience in a full range of services to his clients, from Project Management, Professional Services in website design and infrastructure management, technical and solutions creation, and joint venture marketing for a wide range of products and services.
NTT America completed the acquisition of VERIO in 2007, and Mr. Ferri was promoted to Global Account Executive, focusing on Strategic Accounts, Major Client Acquisition, and servicing the infrastructure and service needs to both multinational corporations and Fortune 500 Companies.
Mr. Ferri holds a Bachelors of Science in Economics from George Mason University.
Angela Markelonis – Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Markelonis started her career as a Big 4 Public Accountant, transitioning to the corporate sector in2004, she has been the Director of Corporate Finance for a large international media company.
In this current capacity, Ms. Markelonis and her team is responsible for internal and external reporting including preparation of the consolidated financial statements and footnotes, coordination with the auditors and implementation of new accounting rules. Ms. Markelonis also has oversight of the corporate accounting functions of payroll, fixed assets, IS/IT and intercompany transactions.
Ms. Markelonis is active in her local community serving as the Chairman of the Leadership Committee of the Smithsonian Young Benefactors and serves on the Boards of the Terrapin Club and Univ of MD Alumni Association, Montgomery County Chapter.
Ms. Markelonis received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland.
Jonathan Broskey – Chief Information Officer
Mr. Broskey jokingly claims to be a “Apple Mac Genius”, he hasn’t worked for Apple since 2003, when he took the roll of Executive Vice President and Lead Consultant for Mid Atlantic Consulting. Being employed by four Apple Stores beginning in 2001, he goes by the statement, “Once a Apple Genius, Always a Apple Genius!” Additionally, Mr. Broskey has a strong IT background with Microsoft products and graphics and web design.
Mr. Broskey is currently employed by EMC as a Sr. Consultant as a contractor for the US Army Advanced Technologies group. Mr. Broskey is the Apple Program Lead leading the effort for Apple Computers in the Army.
Mr. Broskey holds a degree in Visual Communication.
